Retail Store Manager

Salary: ₦170,000 monthly. Five positions available across four Delta State locations, including Ozoro.

 

Quick Corner Freshmart Limited, which trades as Fresh Mart, is hiring Retail Store Managers to run its supermarket outlets in Delta State. The company operates a grocery retail and delivery business serving customers across the state, and is filling five positions across Ozoro, Agbor, Asaba and Sapele.

 

This is a hands-on management role. You will be responsible for the day to day running of your assigned store, from stock and staff to sales performance and customer experience.

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

• Running your store day to day and making sure goods are always available and easy for customers to find

• Building the customer base, increasing foot traffic and improving the store’s profitability

• Hitting sales targets by training, coaching and giving regular feedback to your sales team

• Keeping service standards high so customers keep coming back

• Handling store administration and making sure company policies and procedures are followed

• Maintaining the condition of the store and its visual merchandising standards

• Reporting on buying trends, customer needs and profit performance

• Suggesting practical ideas to grow the store’s share of the local market

• Carrying out staff performance appraisals, identifying training needs and helping staff progress

• Resolving issues raised by staff and customers, including complaints and grievances

• Running routine checks to identify and report products approaching expiry

• Making sure sales representatives get the stock they request on time, and that price changes are correctly tagged

• Controlling losses from damaged goods, stock-outs and expired products

• Keeping the store compliant with health and safety regulations and dealing with government agencies where required

 

Who They Are Looking For

 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred

• At least three years working in retail, ideally in a management position

• Proven track record as a retail store manager

• NYSC discharge certificate or an exemption letter

• Computer literacy, including working comfortably with Microsoft Office

• Strong leadership ability and a good head for business

• Solid customer management skills

• Strong organisational skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to commute to, or relocate for, your assigned store location
