About Us

Why We Exist

Ask anybody in Isoko how they got their last job and you will usually hear the same answer. Somebody told them. An uncle heard something. A church member mentioned a name. A friend called from Ughelli.

That system works, but only if you happen to know the right person. If you do not, you hear the news late, after the position has already gone to somebody else. Plenty of qualified people in Ozoro, Oleh and Uzere have missed opportunities they were perfectly suited for, simply because nobody told them in time.

Employers face the mirror image of the same problem. A shop owner in Oleh looking for a manager, or a school in Emevor looking for a teacher, has never had one obvious place to announce it. So they ask around too, and end up choosing from whoever happens to walk through the door.

isokoJOBs.com was built to fix that. One place where vacancies in Isoko are announced publicly, so that hearing about a job stops depending on who you know.

What We Do

We publish verified opportunities for people in Isoko North, Isoko South and the surrounding areas. That includes:

  • Local vacancies from shops, schools, clinics, farms, hotels and businesses across Isoko
  • Oil and gas roles, including work with the servicing contractors operating across our host communities
  • Government and teaching recruitment, including Delta State exercises and federal openings
  • Openings at Southern Delta University, Ozoro, our largest local employer
  • Internships, NYSC placements and entry level roles for people starting out
  • Scholarships, training and empowerment programmes, including schemes reserved for oil producing host communities
  • Jobs in nearby towns such as Ughelli, Warri, Asaba and Kwale, along with remote roles open to applicants anywhere in Nigeria

We also publish practical guidance on writing a CV, applying properly, preparing for interviews, and recognising a fraudulent advert before it costs you anything.

What “Verified” Actually Means

Plenty of platforms use that word without explaining it, so here is exactly what we do before a listing goes live.

We check that the employer is a real, traceable organisation. We check that the company name, contact details and role are consistent with each other, because a mismatch between the advertised employer and the actual account behind it is one of the most reliable signs of a fake listing. And we check that no payment is being requested from applicants, at any stage, for any reason.

Listings that fail those checks do not get published. We turn down vacancies regularly, including ones that would have brought us traffic.

We should also be honest about the limits of that. We cannot inspect an employer’s premises, confirm their finances, or promise how they will treat their staff. Always do your own checks before accepting any offer. What we can promise is that we will not knowingly publish something designed to take advantage of you.

Where We Cover

Our home is the two Isoko local government areas, covering communities including Ozoro, Oleh, Uzere, Irri, Emevor, Olomoro, Igbide, Aviara, Owhe, Ellu, Oyede, Emede, Enwhe and Ofagbe.

We extend to the towns Isoko people realistically travel to for work, and we carry national recruitment exercises and remote roles that anybody in Nigeria can apply for. But Isoko comes first. It is the reason this platform exists, and it is the part of the country nobody else was serving properly.

What We Are Not

Being clear about this protects everybody.

  • We are not an employer. We do not hire, and we do not take part in any employer’s selection decisions
  • We are not a recruitment agency. Your application goes directly to the employer, not through us
  • We never charge job seekers. No fees, no premium accounts, no paid services. Anybody asking you for money in our name is defrauding you
  • We do not guarantee employment. We make opportunities visible and give you the information to apply well. The employer decides

Who Runs isokoJOBs

isokoJOBs.com is owned and operated by NextFrame Publishing Group, a Nigerian digital publishing company with a portfolio of websites covering culture, technology, sport and education, including iSokoVibe.com.ng, which focuses on Isoko and Urhobo culture.

This platform launched in 2026. We are new, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. What we are not new at is publishing for this audience, and being from here is the reason we knew this platform needed to exist at all.

How You Can Help

This platform only works if the vacancies reach it, and many of the best ones in Isoko never appear online at all.

If you know of an opening in your town, your school, your church, your workplace or your business, send it to us and we will publish it free of charge. If you are hiring, you can post the vacancy yourself in about five minutes, also free.

And if you come across a listing anywhere on this site that asks you for money or looks wrong in any way, please tell us. Reports from readers are one of the ways we keep this place safe.
