Who Can Post a Job
Anybody with a genuine vacancy. You do not need to be a large company. We welcome listings from:
- Shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and filling stations
- Private schools, lesson centres and creches
- Clinics, laboratories and health centres
- Oil servicing companies and their contractors
- Hotels, restaurants and event businesses
- Farms, poultry and fish businesses
- Churches, NGOs and community organisations
- Anyone hiring an apprentice, driver, artisan or shop attendant

Before You Start
Have these ready and the whole thing takes five minutes:
- A working email address
- The job title and what the person will actually do
- The town where the person will work
- How applicants should reach you, either an email address or a link
- Your business name
- Your logo, if you have one, in square format
Step by Step
Step 1: Open the form
Tap Post a Job in the menu at the top of the site, or go directly to isokojobs.com/post-a-job.
Step 2: Sign in or create an account
If you have posted before, tap Sign in. If this is your first time, simply enter your email address in the Your email box. An account is created for you automatically and your login details are sent to that address.
Use an email you check regularly. This is where we will contact you if we have questions about your listing.
Step 3: Job Title
Write the plain job title, the way somebody would search for it. “Shop Attendant” or “Secondary School Mathematics Teacher” works. “Amazing opportunity for a superstar” does not.
Do not put your company name, the salary or the location in the title. Those have their own fields.
Step 4: Location
Be specific. Write the town and the state, for example “Ozoro, Delta State” or “Oleh, Delta State” or “Uzere, Delta State“.
The field is marked optional, but please fill it in. Location is the main thing job seekers filter by, and a listing without one gets far fewer applications.
If the person can work from anywhere, tick Remote Position instead.
Step 5: Job Type
Choose one of the following:
- Full Time for regular full week employment
- Part Time for fewer hours or selected days
- Freelance for work paid per job or per project
- Internship for trainee, apprentice or industrial attachment roles
- Temporary for short term or seasonal work
Step 6: Job Category
Pick the category that fits best. If your vacancy is an ordinary private sector role such as a shop, school, clinic or company position, choose Jobs. The other categories cover government recruitment, internships, NYSC placements, scholarships, and training or empowerment programmes.
Step 7: Description
This is the part that decides whether people apply. Cover these five things:
- What the person will do day to day. Three or four short points is enough
- What you require. Qualifications, experience, and anything essential such as a driving licence or living close to the shop
- Working hours and days
- What you are offering. Salary if you are comfortable stating it, plus anything else such as accommodation, transport or training
- The closing date, if there is one
Write in simple, direct language. You do not need long formal English. A clear short advert always beats a long vague one.
Step 8: Application email or URL
Enter either the email address where you want to receive applications, or a link to your own application form or WhatsApp.
Check this carefully before you submit. A typing mistake here means your listing goes live but nobody can reach you.
Step 9: Salary
Optional, but we strongly encourage you to fill it in. Listings that show a salary get noticeably more applications, because most job seekers skip adverts that hide it.
Enter the amount, leave the currency blank to use Naira, and choose your salary unit, usually Month. A range such as 80000 to 100000 is fine if you are not fixed on one figure.
Step 10: Company Details
- Company name is required. Use the name people know you by
- Website, Tagline, Video and X username are all optional. Fill in what you have
- Logo is optional but worth adding. Use a square image. Listings with a logo look more established and get more clicks. If you do not have one, a clear photo of your shop sign works
Step 11: Accept the terms and submit
Tick the box to accept our Terms and Conditions, then submit. You will see a preview of how your listing will look. Check it, then confirm.
What Happens Next
Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live. This is how we keep our promise that jobs on this platform are genuine. Review normally takes 24 hours or more.
Once approved, your listing appears on the site and is shared on our WhatsApp Channel. Listings stay live for 30 days or more depending on when you the application vacancy is filled up, after which they expire automatically. You can log in at any time to edit or close a listing early once the position is filled.
Please do close your listing once you have hired somebody. It saves job seekers from applying for a position that no longer exists.
What We Do Not Accept
To protect the people who use this platform, we will reject any listing that:
- Asks applicants to pay any fee, whether described as a form fee, registration, training, screening or medical fee
- Requests bank details, BVN or personal financial information before an interview
- Promises unusually high earnings for little or no work
- Recruits for multi level marketing or referral based schemes
- Does not name a real, contactable business
- Discriminates on grounds unrelated to the job
- Advertises anything illegal

Getting Better Applications
- State the salary. It is the single biggest factor in how many people apply
- Name the town, not just the state. “Ozoro” pulls far better than “Delta State”
- Be honest about the requirements. Asking for five years experience on a shop attendant salary just means nobody applies
- Reply quickly. Good candidates are usually gone within a week
- Post each role separately. If you are hiring a driver and a cashier, that is two listings, and each will reach the right people
